The purchasing and supply manager ensures the economic profitability of the flow of goods into the company and other external expenses necessary for the production or services sold.
It maintains relationships with suppliers and negotiates conditions adapted to the needs and constraints of each of the parties involved in the relationship.
It secures supplies and inventory management through orders adapted to the real physical needs of the company.
The purchasing-supply function is at the heart of a company’s operations. It ensures the fluidity of goods but also of information. The organization and quality of logistics have a very strong impact on the competitiveness of many companies. In a context of globalization and acceleration of exchanges, the mastery of transport techniques and logistics is a key factor of success. The purchasing department has two objectives: supplier reliability and obtaining the best sales conditions. It is fully integrated into the company’s strategy.
Today’s operational managers lead and supervise their service/department/pole in order to ensure the performance and quality of activities while respecting the company’s strategy and policy.
Thus, their mission is to translate and transmit the strategic decisions taken by the Top Management in order to control the activity and motivate the teams in order to optimize the organization of the work while developing the skills. To this end, they act as an interface between their operational teams and general management as well as all other operational departments of the group and support functions (HR, internal control, etc.).
You can enter the Ms1 Purchasing and Supply after the validation of 3 years of higher education, but also directly into Ms2, provided you have validated 4 years.

During this session, you will be introduced to the school, take our admission tests and participate in an individual motivation interview. The study of your profile is also based on your academic record. You will be contacted by our training consultants to find out if you are eligible or not.
Ascencia offers you an optimal rhythm of courses for the companies which will welcome you in alternation or in internship : 2 days at the school per week. In alternation, you spend the remaining 3 days in the company.
In initial training, you spend this time in an internship or gain professional experience through a student job.
